Christy Awards Challenge

The Christy Awards Challenge is a challenge to read all of the books who have won the Christy Award for Christian fiction.

OOOH, I have to do this since I am already doing it anyway. I have followed the Christy Awards ever since I started working at our libary and have been methodically going through and reading most of the winners.

So I am definitely at the "Hardcore" level. In fact I will start re-posting some the reviews I have written of them here. I'll have to look through my librarything booklist to see what exactly I've read by I'm almost positive I am close to fulfilling the requirements for that category and am on my way to the "perpetual" category, LOL.

I'm still working on the 2009 winners however. One's I've read so far (or are reading):
You Had me At Goodbye by Tracy Bateman
Until We Reach Home by Lynn Austin (I was almost done and lost it on a plane!! Need to get another copy)
The Rook by Stephen James
I Have Seen Him in the Watchfires

Need to read:
Vanish by Tom Pawlik
Blue Hole Back Home by Joy Jordan-Lake
Dogwood by Chris Fabry
Beyond the Night by Marlo Schalesky
From a Distance by Tamera Alexander

Prayer for troubled times at our Library

Lord, our library is facing many tough decisions as we face a loss of income. Please help our administators and Library board make wise decisions as they handle our budget. I especially pray that you would be at work in the lives of those who have or could possible lose jobs or income as a result of this. You are the great provider and I know that you will help all of us through this.
Give me an extra dose of patience as I deal with co-workers who are stressed because of this. Help me to show your grace to them. Also this affects our patrons so I ask you to help me to continue to serve them with a postitive attitude. May we still be able to help them get the information and materials they need.

Thank you so much for allowing me to work in a profession where I am able to do so much for others!
